7 weeks

This past Wednesday, Lilly turned 7 weeks old. I can't believe it is going so fast! I don't have much to update but thought I would write anyway and put some pictures up. Lilly is getting bigger and showing more of her personality each and everyday!

First, this was taken today before nap time. Wyatt is becoming such a great big brother! Up until this point he hasn't really concerned himself with Lilly too much. He wanted to hold her and just wanted to love on her! So sweet! And I just love the look on Lilly's face! By the way sorry for the quality of some of the pictures they were taken on my iPhone.

Brother and sister playing on the floor. Wyatt wanted to hug and kiss her. I promise he is not choking her!

Wyatt was describing the animals to Lilly and telling her what the colors were.

This was taken when we went for my six week check up. I love the big bow!

Lilly had her first smile last week. This is one of the few I caught on camera. She was laughing at her Nani.

Wyatt was having a movie night. I popped popcorn and he loved it! He thought he was something else!

We woke up Friday morning to this! What a way to start the day!

Luckily the only damage that was done was some scratches on the truck and it ripped off the side mirror. It could have been much worse!

This week will be my last full week of maternity leave:( I have really enjoyed staying home. But back to the "real" world. Lilly will have her two month shots on Monday (the 7th) and I go back on the 8th. Luckily the next week is spring break. So I only have to work 4 days and then get a week off!

6 weeks

Well Lilly is 6 weeks old now. I'm really enjoying my time with her and getting to know her little personality. I think she is starting to look more like Wyatt did. I'm dreading going back to work, because I will miss my days home with her. We are starting to settle into a routine. She has slept really well. (Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself!) She will sleep about 7-8 hours at night now. Which is great! I did babywise with Wyatt and am doing it with her as well, although I started a little bit later this time. We went back to have her hearing tested again and she passed this time so the fluid is clearing up. Thank goodness, that means we won't have to go to the ENT and get tubes right now. I had my 6 week check up yesterday and everything is great! Dr. McMinn just loved all over Lilly! This picture is from Valentines Day! I wish I had gotten a picture with her and Wyatt together but he's kind of hard to catch these days! I'll try to get a picture of him for my next post.

She's Here!

Well, as the title suggests, we have a new addition to our family. Lillian Claire Mott was born on January 5 at 10:08 a.m. She was 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20 1/2 inches long. We could not be happier. We went into the hospital on the 4th and I had a balloon catheter to help me dilate. That helped me dilate to about 5 cm the next morning at 5 a.m. They broke my water at 8 and had her at 10. It was really quick. I think that surprised us all. She is so beautiful! And a joyful addition to our family.

Her hair is a lot lighter than Wyatt's was when he was born.

One proud Daddy.

Sleepy girl.

Big Brother kisses. So sweet!

Lilly gave Wyatt a new Thomas the train set as a thank you for being a great big brother.

We had a big brother party for Wyatt when we got home from the hospital. This is the cake we had.

As you can see, Wyatt really enjoyed the cake!

This was the first time we let Wyatt try to hold Lilly and he did great! Isn't my family so cute!
Wyatt has had an adjustment period here since we had Lilly and we are taking it in stride. Understandably, he has had a major shift in his life. We are trying to keep everything as normal as possible for him and spending as much one on one time with him as we can. Which right now is mainly Daddy/Wyatt time.
A week after we had Lilly, we had some drama here. Thomas got very sick and had to go to the hospital, where they kept him over night. They think he had food poisoning. He is feeling much better now. Thankfully, Elizabeth came and took him to the hospital and my mom came up early and picked up Wyatt from school. Since I can't drive yet, I was very grateful for the both of them. Not only that the next day, Wyatt started potty training at daycare. I was slightly overwhelmed to say the least! But things have calmed down a little here thank goodness. Now, I'm just working on getting the kids on some kind of schedule.

Lilly's Room

I had a doctor's appointment today and there is not much to report. She said everything is looking good and she would like to wait a bit longer and let nature take it's course. If nothing has happened by January 5th we will induce that day.
Since I haven't put up any pictures of Lilly's room I thought I would post those. The first picture is a wall decal we put up above the changing table. If you ask Thomas, he will probably tell you that he hand painted it. Don't believe him. This Bible verse and her name above the crib are stick on wall decals.

Changing table. By the way my mom made the diaper stacker, curtains, pillow in the chair, dust ruffle, and memory board. She did such a great job! And she even got the top part of the diaper stacker monogrammed with her initials.
Rocking chair. As you can see our colors were mainly pink and green and yellow.

Curtains.

A friend at work painted the following two canvases. She is very talented and I was so thrilled that she wanted to do something for the nursery.

This one has the Bible verse at the bottom. James 1:17

Her crib.

The decals were great and pretty easy to put up. This is the one above her crib.

The canvas on the right I bought and it will go on the hospital door. After we leave the hospital, I will take it back and they will paint her information on it (weight, length, time, etc.). On the right is the memory board my mom made for her. These two are on the wall as you walk into the room on the right.

No Progress

Well, as the title suggests there has been no progress. It seems like Miss Lillian is pretty darn comfortable in Mama's tummy. I had my 37 week appointment today. I also had a sonogram. She is measuring about 7 pounds 6 ounces and she has a full head of hair. Looks like I will get to use all of those bows right away. I have another appointment next week so we will hope for progress.
On the bright side, I only have a day and a half left of school! Yay! I definitely could use a break! Not that I will be sitting around, I have a lot of last minute preparations before Lilly gets here. I plan on sending Wyatt to school next week, so hopefully I will get some rest too.
Wyatt was promoted at school this week. My big boy is growing up. They learn a lot more in the curriculum in this room. So I think he will learn a lot and have a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving 2010

We have been extremely busy lately. That is why you all have not heard from me in a while! School is winding down for the semester and for me a quite a while. So now I have a moment to sit and write a minute.

First of all for Miss Lillian, I had my 36 week check up yesterday. I cannot believe we have 4 weeks or less until we meet her! We have been busy getting everything ready for her. Anyway, the doctor said everything looks good with us. She said that nothing is happening yet. I go back next week and have a sonogram to check on her size and position.

Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving we went to my parent house and had a nice quiet visit with my parents and grandparents. Well, as quiet as it gets with a 2 year old around. This first picture is of Wyatt playing like he's cooking these wooden apples my parents have at their house. As you can see he is totally focused on the task at hand.

Playing with Daddy!

Playing with Papa!
This is actually a toy Wyatt plays with when we go to my parents' house. It was mine when I was little!

Halloween 2010

Before I get to Halloween, I wanted to update everyone on what has been going on here. I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. Everything is good with the baby and me. I can't believe I'm 30 weeks! The time is flying by, Lillian will be here before you know it! I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now. Also, on Wednesday I took the day off to rest and went and bought a new camera! I'm really excited about it! It is a dslr so it is quite a step up from my point and shoot. So hopefully you all will get some more pictures now.

On to Halloween, Wyatt had a blast! And he was exhausted last night! Wyatt dressed up as a boxer and he was so cute. He loved the gloves that went with it. Thomas and he also carved our pumpkin yesterday. Trick or treating was a lot of fun with Wyatt this year, it was quite a change from last year. And next year will look totally different from this year with two dressing up!
