Children's Museum

This past week my mom came up and we took the kids to the Mississippi Children's Museum. It was a very rainy day so this was the perfect activity! This was the first time we have been and we absolutely loved it! Wyatt had a blast! We had to pretty much drag him out! We will be returning many more times. This first picture is from the fishing area. He loves going fishing with daddy so this was great for him.

This picture is of him filling up a car with "gas". This car was really cool. The kids could get in and drive. They could also pump the front of the car up and change the tire.
This is Wyatt milking the cow with my mom!
Lilly had a good time too!
This is a picture of our project we have been working on lately. We planted a small garden in our backyard. We had some squash and zucchini for dinner the other night! We didn't think we would like it as much as we have. We actually wish we had planted a bigger one! My grandaddy would have been so proud! We have planted several tomato plants, squash, zucchini, bell peppers, eggplant, basil, rosemary, oregano, and thyme.
We will be leaving on Friday to go to the beach. We can't wait! So the next time I update will be after we get back from the beach!

Happy 5 months!

Well, school is finally out and now I have time to write! I'm so glad it's summer and that I will get more time with Wyatt and Lilly and have time to get my house how I want it. During school there never seems to be enough time in the day to keep my house up! Hopefully, I will get a little me time also! I'm going to keep sending Wyatt to school 2 days a week. He really loves it and it's a great compromise. Lilly will be at home with me all summer unless I need a break in which case I will drop her in day care for the day.
I didn't get a chance to talk about Memorial Day, so let's lead off with that. We didn't do much. We just hung out as a family, however I did get a few pictures. My mom actually made Lilly's dress. She was in it long enough for pictures because she is teething really bad and soaked through it!
My big girl turned 5 months old today! She is growing up so fast! She actually had her bottom two teeth cut through yesterday. She was a little later than Wyatt cutting teeth. But he was really early. He got his first tooth when he turned 4 months. Lilly at 5 months is just a precious little girl. She is smiling all the time. (even through all this teething pain) She loves for you to talk to her and she just lights up when you hold a conversation with her. When you tickle her she just starts giggling and can't stop sometimes! We are doing solids now. She's not real thrilled with it yet. She's OK with the cereal. We tried green beans yesterday and she does pretty good with that. I'm actually trying to make her baby food. I didn't do this with Wyatt but I wanted to try with her. I made the green beans and I also made butternut squash for her to try next. She is sitting well with assistance. I think she will probably crawl before sitting up. She is already starting to try to scoot around. This afternoon I caught her on her knees and elbows rocking back and forth. It would make sense for her to crawl first with Wyatt around! Ha Ha!
Lillian Claire you are beautiful little girl and bring so much joy to us! Even your crazy brother, who loves you so much! Wyatt loves to give you kisses and tell us that you are his sister. He tells you good morning every morning and night night every night. I can tell you will become quite the pair! We love you doodle bug, happy 5 months!
Jammy time!
