The Letter B

We worked a lot last week and did a lot of playing.  I am just now getting around to updating about it.  We focused on the letter B.  We did a lot of activities with the letter B.  We also focused on potty training the week before that so Lilly is now potty trained! Whew! Here are some pictures from our week.

We went swimming alot in our blow up pool in the back yard.  It was Hot!  By the way, that is our puppy Layla by the pool.  I don't know if I mentioned her in our last post.  We adopted her in May.She is a very sweet puppy and I will say she has a ton of puppy in her.

We played with bubbles.
Wyatt is really into playing on the computer right now.  I am considering getting a membership to ABC mouse if anyone knows if its any good let me know.
In Bible, we learned about the word covenant.  We made rainbows with fruit loops.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the finished product.
We also went to the Children's Museum where we are members.  They have traveling exhibit right now of Bob the Builder.  Needless to say Wyatt loves it.
Wyatt and Bob.  I couldnt' get a picture with Lilly in it because she was screaming and climbing me.  Bob kind of freaked her out.
Wyatt also learned to ride his bike without training wheels this week.  He loves doing it!  Such a big boy!

This is some art they did at the Children's Museum.  They called it yo-yo painting.  It was basically beans inside pantyhose and they bounced it on the paper.

Wyatt is really into painting lately, especially rainbows.  He even gets the colors in the right order! (ROY G BIV)
And of course Lilly couldn't be left out!

 My pretty girl!

He looks so big!
This is whipped cream painting at the Children's Museum.  I think Lilly ate more that painted.

We also made bird feeders to put in the yard.

 And of course our "Bees".

We made brownies as a treat for the week.

I had extra fruit loops so we strung them on strings to make necklaces.
We had a ton of fun this week!  And we did a lot more that I didn't get pictures of!

The Next Chapter

Wow!  I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted on this!  Thanks for busting me out this summer Blakeley!  Well this first post back I guess will be a short update to what has been going on here.  And hopefully I will be updating it alot more from now on.

Well, first off the kids are doing great Wyatt will be 5 years old on September 3rd.  (I can't believe that!) and Lilly is 2 1/2 years old.  Wyatt is all boy!  He loves to go camping, hunting, fishing, swimming, anything outdoors, and anything rough!  Little Miss Lillian is my priss pot.  She loves anything girly!  She has to carry her purse around everywhere she goes (with at least 2 cell phones in it), loves to play dress up, princesses, painting her nails, and changing at least 4 times a day.

I have had a lot going on in the last couple of months.  I decided not to go back to work, so I am at home full time now.  We put down new floors, so our house has been under construction the last couple of months.  On June 1st, I fell at the river after kayaking with the family and broke my left arm.  And now I am adjusting to staying home with the kids full time.  I have to say though, through all of this my faith has deepened and I have had to learn I cannot do everything and I will need to ask for help at sometimes.  I really feel that I am where I need to be, doing what God wants me to do.

Thomas is doing well.  He is working very hard at work.  He is working a lot of overtime to make up for me not bringing home a paycheck.  Thomas is being very supportive of me doing what I want to do, which is staying home with the kids.  so between working on the house and work at Nissan he is a very busy man.

I hope to document our time at home on this blog and be able to look back and see the fun things we did.  I have a lot planned for this year.  Wyatt will be starting soccer in the next couple of weeks and Lilly will be starting dance classes.  I have joined a Bible study for moms at our church that will start soon as well.  I am also still teaching a older 3year old Sunday School class at church.  Stay tuned for the next chapter in the Adventures of the Motts.

Sports!

Wyatt has been playing soccer at school since January. He really enjoys it. It is a great introduction to sports. There are no games or anything. They teach him the fundamentals of soccer and sportsmanship. He has so much fun, so we decided it was time to try out tball. He has had a couple of practices. We weren't really sure how it would go. He is on a 3 year old team. He had his first game on Saturday. He did great and he was so excited. This is him before the game! Notice the colors;) We are on the bulldogs and our colors are maroon and white. I don't know how that happened.

My big, handsome boy!

Going to bat for the first time!

Running the bases!

Score!
I am one proud mama! He did great for his first game.

Sickness

Well, yet again I have gotten behind on blogging. It has just been so busy lately! First of all, right after Lilly got over RSV and ear infections she got pink eye. No big deal right? Wrong! She had an allergic reaction to the eye drops and her eye was swollen shut! We ended up being out an entire week of daycare/work! Then she got another ear infection and a boil. We have finally gotten over all of that and now she has allergy problems. I swear, she is just constantly sick. But she is getting germs from daycare and Wyatt and us. I can only hope it will slack off sometime soon.

I got pink eye from Lilly a couple of weeks ago. I am now having other eye trouble. Other than that I have been pretty healthy but busy! School has been really busy especially now that we are in testing mode! Thomas went out of town to a training in Decatur, Alabama last week. So I had both kids by myself. I was only by myself for a week. My hats off to you Christine Bothel, I don't know how you do it! We all missed him terribly and we are glad he's back!

Wyatt has been pretty healthy. He is learning so much at school! I am constantly amazed at how much he's learning. He now knows his colors, alphabet, numbers to about 15, months of the year, days of the week, the pledge of allegiance, and numerous songs. He is just such a smart and curious boy! More about Wyatt in the next post though.

Lilly turns 1!

I can't believe my little girl has turned one! She is such a joy to be around and she is learning new things everyday! She turned one on the 5th. She was at school that day and they had a little birthday cake there for her and her class. On the weekend we had her birthday party at my parents' house in Centreville. The theme was "Whooo's turning One?" (aka: owls). It was a really great party! The kids had so much fun! And Lilly got some great presents ans lots of clothes!

This was her in her special party outfit. She loved the tutu!
My pretty girl!

This is Wyatt eating lunch! Such a great big brother.
Enjoying her chicken.
This is all of the kids eating. There was 1 five year old, 3 three year olds, 3 one year olds, and a 2 month old. Wow! It's funny because these are all from my mom's side of the family and at least 2 people are usually pregnant at the same time.
A picture of all 8 of my grandparents great grand kids. Quite the lively crew we have! From left to right: Lilly, Wyatt, Evie, Cecelia, Anders, Valerie, Hailey, and Gabby.
Sweet babies.
Lilly's cake. This was made by a sorority sister of mine that lives in Jackson. She does this one the side and she is fabulous! She definitely needs to do this full time!

Needless to say she loved the cake!
We had Lilly's check up this week. It was not so good. She started to get sick the day of her party (Sunday). When we went for her check up the doctor looked at her and could tell she didn't feel well so he did a test and sure enough she has RSV and ear infections in both ears. We are on medicine and she seems to be feeling much better now. However, she did not get her shots, we will have to go back for those. She is growing great! She is 22 pounds 1 ounce and 29 inches long. She did not gain but a pound since her last check up but gained about 2 inches. She is really stretching out! Anyway until next time.

Christmas 2011

So, I have a little catching up to do. This is my Christmas post and its January 13th. I'm a little behind. We had a really great Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to church and took it easy. Lilly was a little under the weather but she was much better on Christmas Day. Christmas morning we woke up and discovered we had a visitor in the middle of the night. He left us some goodies. Wyatt was so excited! He really got into it this year. My parents and sister came over that morning also to open presents with us.

This was one of Wyatt's presents. It was a tool workbench with lots of tools. (Note to self: Don't get toys that have 85 pieces! Ha Ha!)

This was Lilly's Santa present. A kitchen. It is really great because as she gets bigger we can expand it and it will get taller.
This was Nani and Papa's gift to Lilly. Her very own pink car with a trailer.

Wyatt playing with his Toy Story Lego set from Izzie. (More pieces!)

Later in the afternoon Thomas's sister, Angie and her daughter, Danielle and her family came over. This is Danielle's daughter Hallie.

It rained most of the day but during a break Thomas took Wyatt and Danielle's son Losson outside and popped some firecrackers. The boys loved it!

Overall, it was a great Christmas and a memorable one since it was Lilly's first one.

All in One

This is one of those all in one kind of blog posts so that I can catch up! It is a little bit of everything. Life has been so busy lately that I have not had time to blog. First of all, we went to Thanksgiving at my parents' house in Centreville. We enjoyed it so much! All of my dad's siblings were there and a few of us cousins were there too. The kids enjoyed playing with each other a lot! I didn't get a chance to get any pictures because Lilly kept me pretty busy that day.
When we came back up to Jackson, we had our Elf Breakfast. I think this will become a yearly tradition for us. Wyatt loved it. The morning our Elf, Chesty, showed up he brought a special breakfast from the North Pole. He brought "Snowballs" (powdered donut holes) and Hot Chocolate with marshmallows. Wyatt loved it! He also loved the letters that Chesty wrote to him and Lilly! Here are some pictures from our Elf Breakfast.

We also made homemade Christmas ornaments one day!

Another thing that I wanted to write about is the fact that Lilly turned 11 months old today! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! She is now walking and into everything. We are in the process of switching to whole milk and she is almost ready to get rid of the formula. (Thank you Lord!) She is such a big girl now I can't believe I have an almost 1 year old!
I'll try to do better about posting more!
